oh boy its been a long time since blogging!

Hi Everyone-
I can't believe how long its been since I have blogged. I have been a bit shy when it comes to sharing on the Internet!
Joshua has turned one (March 16) we celebrated at my moms house. Grandpa Dave came to town to partake in the festivities. Its amazing how fast this past year goes. He has grown so much. He is oh so close to walking. He still gets around very quickly by crawling and 'cruzing' around the furniture. Sis keeps a good eye on Joshua and tells me when he goes places that he shouldn't.
birthday boy not to sure about his football cake (thank you Aunt Rachel for making his cake)
For the rest of the family we got the basketball court cake! It was a joint effort and it was pretty fun to do! I was inspired by "Ace of Cakes".

Kaitlynn has been doing great, she is a very busy 3 (almost 4 year old). Since she doesn't take naps we are usually outside doing something or baking or oh yeah cleaning/watching some PBS! She is still enjoying her dance class...she is having her first dance recital next Friday!! I don't know who is more excited me or her?!

We were doing a little puzzle time.
working on the birdhouse that Grandpa Dave sent after his visit.

Chadman is doing great he had come and gone from his two different training sessions in Alabama. He enjoyed a Tarheels game in Jan/Feb trip. I bet if you asked him, he would say that was a good highlight. This past trip he was gone during Easter. He met a nice guy whom invited him to his fathers church for Easter. He enjoyed a good Southern Baptist Easter service. He also enjoyed some good southern cooking including some oysters on the half shell.

Me well, I am sure glad that the weather is changing and we are heading outside more often! I just love looking out and seeing our flowers bloom. Every time we walk to the park I tell Kaitlynn to look for new flowers blooming! We were lucky one day and pick up an Iris bud that was knocked off the stem. We took it home and put it in water and it bloomed! What a treat! I am so blessed to be able to stay home with the kids. I love being home with them and being a part of their lives for most of their ah~ha moments!

(some of our nap time entertainment...painting on the windows)

I think that Kaitlynn and Joshua will be giving me a run for my money this summer! With Joshua learning to walk and Kaitlynn thinking she is almost 13! I will be all over the map. So if you see me and I don't look you in the eye because I have to keep my eyes on the kids don't be offended!! ;-)

Easter Sunday

Kaitlynn is scheduled to take swim lesion's after she turns 4, so Joshua and I will be hangin' out together in the kiddy pool. Some coveted one on one time! I hope to be able to see some of our Boise friends at the pool during toddler time!

A trip to Bruneau sand dunes over spring break. Joshua wasn't to sure about the sand! Kaitlynn and John and McKenzie were buried to the necks!

our new dinnertime entertainment...Kaitlynn eating with Chopsticks! She eats her veggies and in record time!

Who needs the gym...

when you have snow, sled and screaming 3 year old! Kaitlynn and I headed out front while Joshua was snoozing. After shoveling the driveway and sidewalk I was all for running around the front yard pulling Kaitlynn! It was fun.

Kaitlynn screaming faster, faster mom! (I am no match for Aunt Christina's 4wheeler) We hit the corner...and bump down she goes!

She bounced back and was laughing and ready for more!!
Next was my turn! needless to say, I didn't get pulled to far!

Well, this is all for now unless something comes up. Chadman is heading to Alabama for 3 weeks (he leaves on Sunday) and taking the laptop with him. Since Joshua doesn't do to well with me in his room while sleeping I doubt I'll be blogging! (the other computer is in there) Chad is looking forward to 70* weather and he'll take in a Tarheels game in Florida! A once in a lifetime event.

Our little Kaitlynn

Ok don't take offense, we thought this was pretty funny. Kaitlynn received this dress for Christmas. Its a bit big and very sparkly. She needed to fill it up, so she did.... ahh its just for fun! ;-)

Christmas

The kids were very good at our house, so Santa stopped by! He brought a big doll like 'Mommy' aka Wendy. Joshua received a hammer game. We opened presents as a family and then my mom, Rachel and Andrew came over for breakfast. It was a nice morning. We are very blessed to be surrounded by family. Snap, Crackle, Pop, Charlie Brown and Lucy were able to take some time out of their schedules to be with Jesus at the Nativity at our house. The kids received the bobble heads for Christmas and Kaitlynn put them around baby Jesus. I guess she felt that the wise men and the shepherd needed company! She is pretty serious about her bible stories!
Princess Kaitlynn is sporting "Polly Pocket" sunglasses. (she is cross eyed). She is quite the comedian.

Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's house! Joshua was in the exersaucer the whole time we were opening presents! He just loves jumping around and being at our level! He is a happy baby.

PreChristmas Traditions and Festivities

As a family we like to tour the city in Doug and LaDonna's motorhome...its a tradition thats been going on for quite some time about 6 years if I think hard about it! Here's some pics.

Snow Day and Girls Night Out

A couple of weeks ago we got a few inches of snow. Kaitlynn and I took advantage of it. We went out to do some sledding and snow angels.

Later on that evening Kaitlynn and I went to check out the Botanical Gardens Winter a Glow. It was a girls nite out! It was nice to be able to walk around and hang out together. She stopped to say hi to santa and see his raindeer.

Crazy for some knit

Ok I have to admit that I helped this one start...but its kind of funny. My dad is always looking for something to do and to donate his time. (he's retired and off the 'road' now)! So I told him that the World Special Olympics were coming to Boise in Jan. 2009 and I THOUGHT that they needed some knit hats...well that is all that I had to say to him! He learned how to knit and 10 hats later he called me to see if I knew any details on how the hats needed to be prepared. WELL... I didn't know but I called and come to find out they didn't need hats they needed RED skarfs and they already had enough! Well a little heartbroken he found some other worthy causes and he's been knitting ever since. I told him to do some up for the kids!! They love them!
(sorry dad I have to blog for you!) I tell everyone that comments on their fine pieces that my dad did them! Its great!
Sis proudly sharing her skarf!

Brother lovin' his new hat!

So, Dad is the newest knitter in the family.

Next we have Rosita! We love her knitting and crocheting. She has been busy knitting away since she has moved into her new house! We did an early Christmas at Michael D and Rosita's house and we were all blessed with a new skarf, hat or so! Kaitlynn just loves her new dress, she now has a new princess dress! aka the 'Rosita dress'.

Rachel's new blue knit shirt, Andrew sporting his new hat too, Rosita checking the fit!

Mom got a cell phone cover, Kaitlynn in on the action with her new skarf and dress

Dad and brother got matching hats, I got a hat and skarf the night before (not pictured).

Well thats all for tonight, more to come on from Christmas and so on!

Love you all!
