Crazy for some knit
Ok I have to admit that I helped this one start...but its kind of funny. My dad is always looking for something to do and to donate his time. (he's retired and off the 'road' now)! So I told him that the World Special Olympics were coming to Boise in Jan. 2009 and I THOUGHT that they needed some knit hats...well that is all that I had to say to him! He learned how to knit and 10 hats later he called me to see if I knew any details on how the hats needed to be prepared. WELL... I didn't know but I called and come to find out they didn't need hats they needed RED skarfs and they already had enough! Well a little heartbroken he found some other worthy causes and he's been knitting ever since. I told him to do some up for the kids!! They love them!
(sorry dad I have to blog for you!) I tell everyone that comments on their fine pieces that my dad did them! Its great!
Sis proudly sharing her skarf!
Rachel's new blue knit shirt, Andrew sporting his new hat too, Rosita checking the fit!
Princess proudly wearing her Rosita Dress while eating her gingerbread house
Mom got a cell phone cover, Kaitlynn in on the action with her new skarf and dress

Brother lovin' his new hat!
So, Dad is the newest knitter in the family.
Next we have Rosita! We love her knitting and crocheting. She has been busy knitting away since she has moved into her new house! We did an early Christmas at Michael D and Rosita's house and we were all blessed with a new skarf, hat or so! Kaitlynn just loves her new dress, she now has a new princess dress! aka the 'Rosita dress'.
Dad and brother got matching hats, I got a hat and skarf the night before (not pictured).
Well thats all for tonight, more to come on from Christmas and so on!
Love you all!

Merry Christmas
HI Everybody!
Well, we are doing well here. Its been a super long time since I have logged in to up date. I will say that I have a few excuses. 1) The computer is in Joshua's room and he doesn't like me in there when he is trying to sleep (and that is about the only time I can do computer work)! 2) We have a virus on the computer...so beware of the 2009 Antivirus update! Chad is currently trying to debug it!
Where do I start? Since last time we took at trip to San Francisco. That was a quick but very packed trip. First we were there to visit my side of the family. Chad and the kids have never been to the city. We enlisted the help of dad (Tour guide extraordinaire)! We arrived on a Thursday in San Jose and meandered our way to to the city to meet up with dad. We stopped by Michael D's old house in San Mateo. We finally made it to Auntie Ruth's house. We got lost for a long time trying to get to her house. Got to love mapquest and crazy city streets! After Auntie Ruth's dad came and rescued us from driving in the city. Kaitlynn took in a park down the street from Auntie Ruth's house. She was really ready to get the wiggles out. Joshua and Kaitlynn were great travelers. Dad took us to the beach and she and Chad really got to check it out. As you might expect she was full of sand! Kaitlynn made a friend at the beach, and played with her for a little bit. We hopped into the minivan, and the tour began! Dad drove us all over town, I don't even remember all the places. He did take us to Ft. Mason, Coit Tower, Lombard Street, China Town, He/she place, and many more sites! I will have to review my pictures. We laid our head's at Grandma's house. It was soon neat to see her house just the way I remembered!
Friday led us to Pier 39 and a trip to San Jose...to see Uncle Tom and Aunt June and the Boise State / San Jose State football game! That was fun but glad that we had a get away van waiting for us when the game was over. (We won~ and they weren't to gracious home crowd).
Saturday, we made it back to Grandma's house and relaxed a bit and then Uncle Tom, Aunt June, Uncle Jerry and Yolanda came over to visit! It was great getting to see everyone again. Its been since Mike and Crystal's wedding since I've seen everyone.
Sunday still wasn't a day of rest. We were all exhausted! Dad drove his heart out! Poor guy still had to drive 2 hrs back home to Sacramento. We toured the city via car but did get to walk on the Golden Gate Bridge. The whole weekend we had excellent weather, unusually hot I might add...85+ and Sunday when we walked on the bridge it was windy and foggy! We had to get a bit of fog to experience SF!
After returning home we pretty much started in on finishing the football season and the holidays. Chad and Doug attended a few more games and did get to go to Reno the week before Thanksgiving. The broncos ended the regular season 12-0 and are heading to San Diego Poinsettia Bowl next week.
The kids and I are hanging in there pretty good. Joshua is growing so good. He is sitting up (early Nov.) and is working on his 6th tooth! He is a good baby during his teething. He likes to watch his big sister. She is quite the entertainer. Joshua is oh so close to crawling. Not even the Christmas tree is tempting enough to crawl. If I let him he will roll his way there! I can't believe that he is 9 months already!
Kaitlynn is doing so well. She loves her dance class and hanging out with us. She loves to act out her bible stories. If she had her way she would have me be a donkey to ride in the Bethlehem! Or she is playing princess...either way she is wearing her favorite dress...'the Aunt Christina' dress. (I might add that its 30 years old) LaDonna made it for Christina when she was baptized many years ago. I don't mind, it makes laundry easier! ;-)
We have been having fun making Christmas presents for our family. I have been getting my sewing machine out and trying to sew a straight line!
Chad is working hard in between his sporting events and work/drill. He is heading to Ft. Rucker Alabama after the new year for three weeks and again for two more weeks end of March.
Well that is about it in a nutshell. Keep your eyes peeled for our Christmas newsletter (its still in editing).
We hope that you have a great Christmas and a Happy and exciting New Year.
